London’s Best Independent Clothing & Fashion Boutiques

London has some of the best shopping in the world. While the high street serves an important purpose, we love the array of independent boutiques dotted around the city.  So much so we’ve compiled a list of our favourite London boutiques that we recommend you browse at your leisure.

1. Start London

Start have a women’s boutique and a men’s across the road. There’s a good mix of well-known brands and up-and-coming labels. At the women’s store expect to see Richard Nicoll and Sonia Rykiel, at the men’s boutique we look out for Martin Margiela, Acne and Moncler.

Comme des Garcons designer Rei Kawakubo’s six-storey store is really something to behold. Portaloo dressing rooms, corrugated-iron shaks housing tills, and an incredible mix of designers. Lanvin, Azzedine Alaia, McQueen and Rick Owens to name a few. Oh and not forgetting all 14 of the Comme des Garcons collections.
